Blue Wing knows that she has one last task to fulfil and then she will go, but does she have the courage to do it?
This interesting, gripping and heart warming story is a great insight to life on a hot island. I enjoyed following Blue Wing and Maple's story and friendship across the book. The ending is incredibly well thought through. I still look back and realise that Zillah Bethell has linked everything and given clues to the ending that are so slight that you could only notice them once you've read it.
I loved reading the descriptions of the island- and the only reason that I gave it three bananas is that I felt like the ending was also quite far fetched, and although a lot more of the book then made sense, I think it was a bit disappointing.
Overall, It is clearly written and funny, with no gore or violence - except that there are sharks involved, but no-one gets hurt) Happy Reading!
