🍌🍌🍌 We are banana split about this book.

Blurb:

Some secrets change the world in a heartbeat.

Lily's life is in mortal peril. Her father is missing and now silver-eyed men stalk her through the shadows. What could they want from her?

With her friend - Robert, the clockmakers son, and Malkin, her mechanical fox- lily is plunged into a murky and menacing world. Too soon Lily realises that those she holds dear may be the very ones to break her heart...

( From book 1 , Cogheart )

Our review:

There is one thing that separates Lily from others. She has a mechanical heart. Robert and Lily meet, by chance, and team up ( along with her mechanimal fox, Malkin) to find Lily's father again.

These books are very interesting. I enjoyed them as I read them, but looking back, they seem quite dark and brutal at points. They are quite scary. If you read them, you will see what I mean. They're adventurous and exciting, and you don't know what will happen next, but they have elements that made me freaked out, (especially in the last book Shadowsea. Look out for that one) The other books - Cogheart, Moonlocket and Skycircus- are probably ok if you don't mind a bit of guns, fire and sadness, but I would skip out Shadowsea, there are 'Zombies' and very scary twists. I would recommend this for 11+.
