But DANGER lurks beneath the bright lights of the city - and intrigue and murder lie in store. As aeroplanes soar in the skies overhead, our heroines will need to put all their spy skills to the test to face the peril that awaits them...
Our Review:
Sophie and Lil, best of friends, and the best of detectives. Sophie started off as a shop girl, and Lil an actress. But now, the two leading lady detectives have a very different tale on their hands...
As a sequel to 'The Sinclair's Mysteries' series, this book is a cracker! I fell in love with the two in the last series, and now I am bubbling over with excitement about this. We are introduced to a new life for Miss Taylor and Miss Rose- they have their own agency in the department store, and they work for national espionage?!! At first the story may seem slow, but, fear not, for there are plenty of plot twists and unexpected turns along the way. Can you figure out Miss Carter's secret before it is revealed? And where is Lil, while Sophie is tracking down spies? This book is another plunge into a Victorian set mystery. If you're a fan of Murder Most Unladylike, then you will adore this. It is slightly scary for 7 and under- but there is more of a mystery vibe, and I would say it's 8+. It is a must for budding young readers!
