🍌🍌🍌 We are banana split about this book!

Blurb:

High above the streets of Paris live the rooftoppers, a secret gang of children who eat, sleep and tumble amongst the chimney pots. But for Matteo and Mercedes the adventure is only just beginning, as the pair find themselves on a wild hunt across Paris – tearing over the roofs in search of hidden treasure in a race against an enemy who would seek to destroy that which they love best.

Our Review:

The story of a child left to stealing, robbing and pickpocketing who's alone in the world. Or is he...

This quick, heart-warming and roof propelling journey is an antidote to Lockdown. With high speed chases, mysterious items flying from trees, and a bunch of cats with a weird attitude, this book is a great one for the holidays.

I enjoyed this book as a break from books that you have to wade through- and it was a great little journey to follow! The main character, Matteo, is a brilliant reveal of how some children are left- alone, scared and without a roof over their heads. In this case it's a roofs under his feet. I love the character Mercedes because she is a brilliant fencer, and she is not afraid to say if she is afraid of heights- she is honest and incredibly brave!
