🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌 We were absolutely bananas about this book.

Blurb:
Clarry and her brother Peter live for their annual summer trips to Cornwall – a chance not only to escape their apathetic father, but to experience the joy of exploring nature with their exciting cousin Rupert.
But when the First World War begins and Rupert enlists in the army, their world is thrown upside down – will they ever see him again? And how will the shadow of conflict change their lives?
Our review:
Well, what to say. This is a great book with touching characters that you feel like you know even after the first few chapters. It follows friends and family through the story of the war at home: making new friends, grieving and trying to live out the 'new normal'. Sometimes younger readers might feel upset, as there are a few deaths but apart from that it is a great book. I would truly recommend it.
