🍌🍌 We are not so bananas about this book

Blurb:

When her mother disappears on her fourteenth birthday, Enola Holmes - the much younger sister of the famous detective Sherlock - suddenly finds herself in the care of her brothers. While Sherlock begins to investigate, his brother Mycroft sets about sending Enola away to boarding school. But Enola has other ideas, deciding to track her mother down herself. But the trail leads her to another missing person and the deadly dangerous streets on Victorian East London...

This exciting mystery adventure proves Enola to be more than a match for her brilliant brother.

Our Review:

This book was slightly a let down to the character Enola Holmes. This specific book was the book that inpired the movie. And because I watched it , I was inspired to read the book! So when I read it , I was very dissapointed. There is no ' girl takes the lead' influence at all, and Enola is not an unruly 'wild child.' This book could have a lot more female independence. It is best if you, as a reader make your mind up about it.
